The Chartered Institute of Taxation is the leading professional body in the United Kingdom concerned solely with taxation. It deals with all aspects of direct and indirect taxation.

A CTA is a specialist in tax who has passed the Chartered Institute of Taxation “gold standard” qualification. Pass rates have historically been less than 50%.
